  • As some of you may have noticed, Belmont’s Theatre on the Edge is presenting A Charlie Brown Christmas this December. Auditions will be held this coming Thursday, October 26, 3:30 PM- 6:00 PM. There are posters and a digital copy on school screens to let students know about the audition. The turn-around after the audition is going to be very quick; I am planning on having the cast chosen and posted the following Friday. Putting the show together is going to make November a busy month. If any staff or anyone they know is interested in the following jobs for the production, please get in touch with me as soon as possible. Many jobs have been filled for the production but I am still looking for the following roles/positions: Piano Player (I am hoping to play the score live with at least a piano player – perhaps a stand-up bass player as well – it’s such a great score by Vince Guaraldi and it’s one of the reasons it won out for a Winter production). A few of our BMD students could fill the role but they are very busy.  Small Carpentry Team The plan is to incorporate a digital design for the set but there will also be a few physical features such as Snoopy’s doghouse and Lucy’s Psychiatric Booth.
  • Wardrobe Alteration Team (Potentially, I have a student helping me with wardrobe design but we will need help with this). This was another potential feature which pushed the choice of this production over the top.
  • There is a great deal of talent and community connection in our big beautiful school; sometimes it’s just a matter of putting it out there. Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas!
