Check out the Belmont Website Daily Announcements and the Career Centre Information for the many volunteer opportunities available to students.  Volunteer hours can be used for the required grad transitions hours.
  • Students please remember to check your lockers for any food etc. that may be in there and clean them for Spring Break….. Also, take a look at the lost and found down on the first floor if you are missing any items they may be there.


    • ******GRADS: An email was sent home with information regarding Grad ceremonies and forms that need to be filled out and returned to the front office. Please bring these completed forms to the office with payment as soon as possible.
    • GRADS: Baby/Toddler photos are now being accepted in the office. For the slide show at the graduation ceremonies, bring them in soon.
      GRADS: Grad Gowns will be on display at the Lakeside Café across from the Learning Commons again beginning April 3rd.
    • Work Experience 12A students.   Grade 11 and 12 students who are taking Work Experience 12A please hand in your assignments for this course they are due TODAY Friday, March 17th.  If you cannot meet this deadline please see Mrs. Nicholson in the Career Centre.
  • Langford Fastball – Registration is happening now for Fastball please see website for registration information at www. langfordfastball.ca
  • Senior boys rugby game is cancelled today. Be sure to get to practice.
  • Anyone interested for playing with the Belmont Golf Team, please see Mr. Lowe in the Gym before Spring Break.

Career Centre

  • Summer Secondary School Apprenticeship Jobs at Dockyard For more information, the application package and job descriptions see the Career Centre.  Application deadline is Monday, April 3, 2017.
  • Dockyard (Fleet Maintenance Facility, Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt) in Victoria is offering summer positions for Secondary School Apprenticeships again this year. The jobs offered are in the following trades: various metal trades, various hull trades, electricians, machinists, millwrights and pipefitters.
  • Coast Capital Savings Youth Intern Program is currently accepting applications for the Youth Get It Intern program.  Students must be entering Grade 11 or Grade 12 in September 2017 and be able to work full-time during the summer months, and every Saturday during the school year. The successful applicants will work in a branch as a Member Service Representative, representing Coast Capital Savings at community events and initiate a volunteer project focusing on teaching financial literacy for youth.  Students who are interested in this opportunity are to apply on line at coastcapitalsavings.com/youthinterns.  The application deadline is Friday, March 31, 2017 at 4:00pm.   Please contact the Career Centre for more information.
  • Have lots of fun with this volunteer opportunity! Sign up for The Easter Egg Hunt.
