Student Self-Reflection and Goal Setting
As a part of the new 2023 K-12 Reporting Order, all students are required to self-reflect on the Core Competencies and set goals during the school year. Students will be saving their self-reflection and goals in their Google Drive, and information on how to access these self-reflections and goals will be included on the student’s report card.
Students have the choice of which core competency they choose to reflect on, and the choice of what type of goal they set for themselves.
Research shows that students have accurate perceptions of themselves and their own learning, and that self reflection and goal setting can play a significant role in helping them learn and grow.
